Over at Eurogamer, they have information regarding the recently announced Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two, a sequel to last years Wii exclusive Epic Mickey. The game, produced by Warren Spector of Deus Ex fame and developed by Junction Point, is scheduled to be released for the Xbox 360, PS3 and the Wii.
In addition to being an adventure game, this time it’s also going to be a musical with voice acting for every character.
Epic Mickey 2 will also feature drop-in, drop out co-op, allowing a second player to control companion NPC Oswald the Rabbit at any given time. Oswald carries a remote control which allows him to use electricity.
“You can sit down at any time with a friend who is playing as Mickey, and you can take control of Oswald,” explained Spector.
“If you’re playing as a single player, Oswald will be there every second of the game. He’s not just a multiplayer character. He’s a helper, whether you’re playing alone or with a friend or family member.”
The article also talks about how the development team is focusing on fixing the camera system for the sequel, a much criticized aspect in the original title.
“(There have been) over 1000 specific changes made to the camera. Our goal is that you will not have to touch the manual camera controls even once to play through the main story path of this game.”
